2° Concorso online “WeBONES”
Organizzato da Quarantine Quartet APS in collaborazione con Spilim-Bones26.
1 – Organizzazione
L’Associazione Quarantine Quartet APS indice e organizza il 2° Concorso online “WeBONES”, rivolto a musicisti di trombone tenore, trombone basso e bassotuba.
Partner del progetto: Quarantine Quartet APS e Spilim-Bones26 e Trombonanza Italy 2026.
2 – Requisiti di partecipazione
Il concorso è aperto a:
- Trombonisti (tenore e basso) e tubisti appartenenti a una delle seguenti categorie:
- Studenti di triennio e biennio
- Laureati e professionisti
⚠️ IMPORTANTE:
L’iscrizione implica, in caso di vincita, la partecipazione OBBLIGATORIA e integrale alla masterclass “Spilim-Bones26” dal 27 luglio al 2 agosto, a spese del candidato.
Il candidato potrà godere dello sconto del 10% sul costo del corso avanzato.
3 – Categorie e prove
Ogni candidato dovrà inviare un video con l’esecuzione di un esercizio assegnato dalla commissione:
- Trombone tenore → “VII. Sir Tristan the Archer” dal metodo Etudes of the Round Table di Alex Knutrud – Download
- Trombone basso → Esercizio n.6 dal metodo Technical Studies for Bass Trombone by Donald Knaub – Download
- Bassotuba → Studio concerto n.11 dal Blazevich – Download
4 – Premi
Premio per le tre categorie:
- Trombone Tenore:
- Lezione aggiuntiva con Johanna Pschorr
- Esibizione con parte solistica con l’ensemble dei docenti;
- Trombone Basso:
- Lezione aggiuntiva con Antonello Mazzucco
- Esibizione con parte solistica con l’ensemble dei docenti;
- Bassotuba:
- Lezione aggiuntiva con Mario Barsotti
- Esibizione con parte solistica con l’ensemble dei docenti;
I vincitori delle tre categorie eseguiranno in prima assoluta un brano composto appositamente per l’occasione dal M° M. Ligas.
Premio eccellenza: Il candidato tra le tre categorie con il punteggio più alto, avrà la possibilità di partecipare gratuitamente alla Masterclass Trombonanza Italy 2026 (prima assoluta italiana) che si svolgerà dal 3 al 9 agosto a Casteltodino (Montecastrilli, TR). |
5 – Criteri di valutazione
La Giuria valuterà le esecuzioni sulla base di una griglia di valutazione, assegnando un punteggio da 1 a 10 nei seguenti parametri:
- Suono
- Ritmo
- Musicalità
- Precisione
La graduatoria finale sarà determinata dalla media dei voti espressi.
6 – Modalità di invio del video
Il candidato dovrà inviare il proprio video tramite www.swisstransfer.com/it-it all’indirizzo quarantinequartet20@gmail.com con il seguente oggetto:
📌 WeBONES – [strumento] – [Nome Cognome]
Scadenza del bando: ore 23:59 di lunedì 2 giugno 2026 (GMT +2)
⚠️ IMPORTANTE
- Il video deve essere senza interruzioni o modifiche audio e di buona qualità.
- Non saranno accettati file o email inviati in modalità diverse da quelle indicate.
7 – Giuria
La giuria è composta da musicisti e docenti di fama internazionale:
- Johanna Pschorr;
- Antonello Mazzucco;
- Mario Barsotti;
- Maurizio Ligas;
- Presidente della Giuria: Giuliano Rizzotto;
8 – Giudizio della Giuria
Il Presidente della Giuria ha il compito di coordinare i lavori e definire i criteri di valutazione.
Il giudizio della Giuria è insindacabile e inappellabile.
9 – Accettazione del regolamento
L’iscrizione al concorso implica l’accettazione completa e incondizionata del presente regolamento.

RULES
1st Online Competition “WeBONES”
Organized by Quarantine Quartet APS in collaboration with Spilim-Bones26.
1 – Organization
The Quarantine Quartet APS Association announces and organizes the 2nd Online Competition “WeBONES”, open to musicians playing tenor trombone, bass trombone, and bass tuba.
Project partners: Quarantine Quartet APS, Spilim-Bones26 and Trombonanza Italy 2026.
2 – Eligibility Requirements
The competition is open to:
- Tenor and bass trombonists, and tuba players belonging to one of the following categories:
- Undergraduate and graduate students
- Graduates and professionals
⚠️ IMPORTANT
By registering for the competition, participants agree that if they win, they will be required to attend the full masterclass “Spilim-Bones26”, which will take place from July 27 to August 2, at their own expense.
Winners will receive a 10% discount on the Advanced Course fee.
3 – Categories and Performance Pieces
Each participant must submit a video recording of a designated exercise selected by the jury:
- Tenor Trombone → “VII. Sir Tristan the Archer” from Etudes of the Round Table by Alex Knutrud – Download
- Bass Trombone → Exercise No. 6 from Technical Studies for Bass Trombone by Donald Knaub – Download
- Tuba → Concert Study No. 11 from Blazhevich – Download
4 – Prizes
Prizes will be awarded in each category:
- Tenor Trombone:
- Additional lesson with Johanna Pschorr
- Solo performance with the faculty ensemble
- Bass Trombone:
- Additional lesson with Antonello Mazzucco
- Solo performance with the faculty ensemble
- Tuba:
- Additional lesson with Mario Barsotti
- Solo performance with the faculty ensemble
The winners of the three categories will perform the world premiere of a piece specially composed for the occasion by M° M. Ligas.
| Excellence Award:The candidate with the highest score among the three categories will have the opportunity to participate free of charge in the Trombonanza Italy 2026 (Italian premiere), which will take place from August 3 to 9 in Casteltodino (Montecastrilli, TR, Italy). |
5 – Evaluation Criteria
The jury will assess the performances using an evaluation grid, assigning scores from 1 to 10 based on the following criteria:
- Sound
- Rhythm
- Musicality
- Precision
The final ranking will be determined by the average score given.
6 – Video Submission Guidelines
Candidates must submit their video via www.swisstransfer.com/it-it to quarantinequartet20@gmail.com with the following subject line:
📌 WeBONES – [instrument] – [Full Name]
Application deadline: 11:59 PM (GMT +2), Saturday, June 2, 2026
⚠️ IMPORTANT
- The video must be continuous, unedited, and of good quality.
- Files or emails sent in any format different from the specified one will not be accepted.
7 – Jury
The jury is composed of renowned musicians and professors:
- Johanna Pschorr
- Antonello Mazzucco
- Mario Barsotti
- Maurizio Ligas
- Jury President: Giuliano Rizzotto
8 – Jury’s Decision
The Jury President is responsible for coordinating the evaluation process and establishing the assessment criteria.
The jury’s decision is final and unappealable.
9 – Acceptance of Rules
By registering for the competition, participants fully and unconditionally accept the present rules.
